Reading, UK and Seattle, Washington: November 27th, 2006 - Axiom Systems, the leader in Service Fulfillment software for Communication Service Providers, and BT Group, one of the world's leading providers of communications solutions, today announced a joint presentation at TeleManagement World Dallas, on Tuesday, December 5th at 3:35pm.
Brian Naughton, VP Architecture and Strategy at Axiom Systems, and Dave Milham, OSS Architecture & Innovation at BT Group, and TMF Distinguished Fellow, will examine the issue of service creation in today’s highly competitive market and explore a new approach to service creation and fulfillment. The presentation will discuss the benefits of adopting a Service Factory approach to Service Assembly, based on ‘Flexible Manufacturing’ concepts, to dramatically reduce time to market for new shorter lifespan products and to streamline service fulfillment.
Axiom Systems is leading the TMF Product and Service Assembly (PSA) Catalyst Initiative, alongside BT, Cable & Wireless and TeliaSonera, as well as ATOS Origin, Celona, Oracle and Huawei. The initiative addresses the issues that all service providers face today – having to reduce the time it takes to get new products to market from years down to just a few weeks. The Catalyst has resulted in the creation of an end-to-end IT-reference architecture that bridges the gap between product and service lifecycle management and OSS / BSS service execution applications, and which will be demonstrated at TMW Dallas.
Axiom Systems will also be previewing a new AXIOSS module - AXIOSS Active Catalog. An important part of the PSA reference architecture, AXIOSS Active Catalog provides a design and assembly environment within which service components can be defined and commercial products created from reusable building blocks, making service creation and roll out a more simplified process.
TeleManagement World Dallas 2006 takes place at the Adams Mark Hotel in Dallas, December 4th-7th, 2006. For more information go to www.axiomsystems.com
